From time to time, it's a good thing to clear out the internet cache and temporary internet files. What are these? Well to put it bluntly, as you surf the web, Internet Explorer saves all the graphics and content of EVERY web-page you view. Why does it do this? The main reason for this is speed. If you visit a site a lot, you'll notice. The first time it loads the page is relitively slow, but after that it's much faster because it pulls these graphic files and other things right out of the cache. These files would normally take some time to download and can slow-down your internet experience. So why would you want to clear them out from time to time? Quite simply, you want to clear these out to save space on your hard-drive. These files take up space, and for the most part, when they build up, a lot of these files will never be used.
To clear out these cluttering files, we want to start by opening up
Internet Explorer. Once opened click on TOOLS at the top. Then
Click on Internet Options.
Click here to return to the Internet Explorer Menu.
